Rule 37 - DISTRESS SIGNALS

 

When a vessel is in distress and requires assistance she shall use or exhibit the signals described in Annex IV to these Regulations.

The distress signals for inland waters are the same as those displayed in the table above with the following additional signal:

Rule 37 - Inland only
A high intensity white light flashing Rule 21. (f)"Flashing light" means a light flashing at regular intervals at a frequency of 120 flashes or more per minute. at regular intervals from 50 to 70 times per minute.
