Feed back indicates the NMC has added many new questions and
illustrations, mainly to ELECTRICITY and ELECTRONICS. If your
sitting for an Engineer exam you need to completely understand
electricity. The subject mater has not changed, if you read and
understand the reference books on electricity included with all
our engineer training applications you will have no trouble with
the new questions.We continue to publish updates to help users
understand the material covered on the exams, so check for updates
regularly.
Many sites offer training for US Coast Guard, Merchant Marine
exams. Most training software available contains ALL questions
(over 17,000 for deck). If you're sitting for 1600 GT Near Coast
why would you want to study subjects for the Master Unlimited
exam.
Our Merchant Marine testing software programs contain genuine
United States Coast Guard questions painstakingly selected for
license grades listed. All CD's contain a reference library with
many publications, check listings. Our license training applications
have a stand alone viewer to read and search the many books in
reference library. The viewer also provides access to all illustrations
and drawings with high resolution to display detail in large schematics
and graphs.
As questions, illustrations and help files are updated they are
available to users through a built in update utility (most applications).

Testing Applications for the Merchant Mariner
Our unlimited applications, Master-3rd Mate, and Chief -3rd Assistant
Engineer covers all the USCG exam exam subjects. Limited tonnage
training CD's are license specific and contain selected questions
for the license grade stated. Questions are selected randomly
or returned from a text or drawing number. Correctly answered
questions are not repeated (unless reset). This feature provides
fresh questions, while tracking your total progress. For more

Demo's are restricted only by the number of questions 50 per
/ section. Demos are free to download from the links near the
bottom of this page. The demos provide a good overview of the
applications, however the engineer demo is an older version and
does not provide search capabilities.
All CD's include a reference library. Illustrations are provided
on screen, and can be printed for use. The print test option provides
printed tests and answer sheets. For a listing of reference books
included check the CD listings in menu to the left. The latest
update for our deck training CDs consists of a complete Rules
of the Road help file. The help file is integrated into the
application (context-sensitive). Help is provided for all Rules
of the Road questions. Pressing the F1 key or the 'Need Help'
button opens the help file to the page explaining to the question.
All software offered is windows based and will run on all windows
operating systems, sorry no Macintosh applications. We also provide

I recently attended the Second Annual Towing Industry Forum at
the State University of New York, Maritime College. A presentation
by James D. Cavo of the National Maritime Center, on towing licensing
was very informative. Changes include 500 course hours for licenses
over 200 GRT (500 GT International), and the introduction of a
new Master of Towing Vessel license.

questions. The online questions do not include illustrations.
These questions are for review and should not be used to study
for exams.
